Today there's yet another Prop 8 protest planned. Which is great news.

This time it's in Sacramento at the State Capitol Building scheduled to start at 2 p.m.

Are you going? Care to share images from the same-sex marriage ban protest with our readers? Tag them with "sfist" in your Flickr account - which will then show up in our Flickr pool - or you can email them to editor[at]sfist.com.

Also: Go get 'em.

Who's in charge of turning the gay marriage issue into a parody of itself? Announcing this two hours before kick off? You might have a bit of trouble topping some protest 20 years ago that accomplished what, btw? Doesn't matter...it happened! Don't YOU want something to "happen?" Then get out there!

Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole "LET'S PROTEST 8 ALLA THA TIME" movement was a false flag action by anti's, designed to sap the movement's effectiveness.

"Equal rights are inalienable and cannot be taken away."

Case in point. Sorry to tell ya, but that's exactly what happened. Pretending what happened cannot, in fact, happen is pretty much an admission of insanity. Durrrr, where's my hacky sack?

i hear sobriety is a marvelous change of lifestyle, manys.

At least this will get them out of the Castro. Seriously, WTF? What kind of fools torment a city that overwhelmingly supports your cause? Last night I could hear them chanting from the office many stories in the air. Traffic on Market was less than pleased.

But hey, at least they stuck it to all of those San Franciscians who voted for Prop. 8...

manys,

Just because SFist didn't post this until today doesn't mean that it hasn't been planned for awhile.

So by quitting drinking manys will come around to your point of thinking?

I'm (mostly) with manys on this one. No, it's not SFist's responsibility to keep us informed of these things. But what sort of advertising did the organizers do? I never saw any fliers in the Castro, never received any e-mails from any of the usual organizations, no one I know seems to have heard of it... And who are California Outreach and Equality Action Now? Did they just spring up after the election? Just how many pro-marriage organizations do we have now? I've lost count at this point.

Looking at the flier, Geoff Kors, Executive Director of Equality California was scheduled to speak today. I'm on EQCA's mailing list, but don't recall getting a notice for this protest. Did I just miss it? Did anyone else out there get a notice from EQCA?

No, yatdave. Apparently you were merely intoxicated.

bad visuals, bad planning...they go hand in hand. Narf said.

went to the last one, didnt go to this one, it's up to the courts, sigh im tired
