Mayor Newsom Appears on Dr. Phil Tonight

Unless it involves children assaulting their own mothers, having mimicking young punks removed from the set, or nubile teens hooked on heroin, we wouldn't recommend an episode of Dr. Phil. Until today. See, Mayor Gavin Newsom, on the road to the state capitol, will make an appearance on Phil McGraw's show. Sadly, the topic of discussion won't be Robin McGraw's jarring attempts at cosmetic surgery. Instead, Newsom will be talking about Prop. 8, the same-sex marriage ban. It starts at 5 p.m. on KRON 4, which, yes, is surprisingly still on the air.

thanks for reminding me not to turn the tv on.

Did he confess to Dr. Phil about his pussy/coke/alcohol addiction?

Wow, we're still doing that, are we? It's amazing that in a city in which the majority believe that what goes on in a bedroom is no one's business but the participants, that everyone would be so downright prudish that the mayor had consensual sex with another adult. Get over it already!

I worked with Dr. Phil 2 years ago on a shoot in a womans prison. he is one of the most manipulative, egotistical assess that has ever walked the earth. boycott his lame show. pure puke!

@mamcart: Seriously, what you said. I'm constantly amazed how many people turn into sanctimonious twats given half a chance and the ability to comment on a blog.

Perfect!!! A pretend mayor meets a pretend doctor.

As far as I'm concerned, as long as the politician in question isn't running on a platform of "I know what's best for your family," then they can do anything they want in their free time. I don't recall Newsom's campaign bleating about family values, so this is one of the few areas in which I have nothing bad to say about him.
