I wasn't as blown away as I thought I would be, but I agree Sean Penn did an amazing job, and James Franco really surprised me. He should get a supporting actor nod come awards time, imo.

I loved the movie. I also saw it at the People's Preview. I thought it was tastefully done and VERY RELEVANT to today's culture wars and politics. It's amazing the similarities of 1978 and 2008.

i stood in line for an hour to catch the free "people's screening" of MILK. i liked it. i wasn't BLOWN AWAY, but sean penn definitely did an awesome job.

See it at the Castro Theatre, SF Joe. Also Sean Penn is right. Despite the thrill of an Obama presidency I've been in a rather melancholy place since Prop 8 passed.

James Franco was pretty hot in the movie. I didn't like Diego Luna's character. It's like they modeled that character after Fez from That 70s show. Why do the Latino characters always have to be airheads?!!?!
