Prop. 8 and Race Pannel Discussion Tomorrow, 11/19

For those of you too tired to march around Civic Center, make another clever protest sign, or shout rhyming chants about quality and Prop. 8, there's a sit-down discussion tomorrow night in the Castro. At the LGBT Community Center, Stop AIDS Project (as well as a few other community groups) is hosting a forum about the aftermath of Prop 8's passage. The focus will touch on the disturbing racial overtones that have played out in conversations, in protests, in the blame game, and in the media; what to do next; and what we can look forward to in the next coming months regarding the same-sex marriage ban.

The panel discussion will have SF Supervisor Bevan Dufty, Rev. Amos Lee, and Andrea Shorter (And Marriage for All) answering your questions.

What: Prop 8 and Race: What's Next?
When: Wednesday, 11/19
Where: SF LGBT Community Center, 1800 Market Street
Time: 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.

I just ran across this Phil Bronstein article on Prop 8 the Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/phil-bronstein/prop-8-witch-hunt-and-hol_b_144641.html

He links to an SFist post and quotes a commenter.

So Black is the old gay?
think about it.
