Three of the privileged youths who protested the removal of the Berkeley oak grove were sentenced in Berkeley on Monday. Kingman Lim and Zachary RunningWolf Brown, both ground supporters, and Michael Schuck, a tree-sitter, were handed five-day jail sentences and "found to be in contempt of court." Judge Marshall Whitley in Alameda County Superior Court also ordered them to pay an undetermined amount toward the University of California's attorney fees. Six other tree protesters were sentenced to 50 hours of community service. (Oakland Tribune)

I hope the community service includes cleaning up lots of pee-soaked areas.
5 days in jail for some people that have been in a tree for a year? Thats like the (W) hotel to those guys.
