In Santa Clara late this afternoon, an "Asian-American male" walked into 3250 Scott Boulevard and opened fire. Three people are dead: two men and one women. The suspect is still at large. We'll let you know more when we know more.
Update: The shooting occurred "at around 4 p.m. in Suite 102 of Building Seven at the office complex." The possible suspect is a recently laid-off employee, Asian-Amercan, 5'11", 170lbs, might be driving a silver SUV rental car, considered armed and dangerous.
Update II: The suspect has been identified as Jing Hua Wu, 47, of Mountain View.

Yikes. That sucks!
Scott is bad juju. 11 years ago I was working at a startup 1 block from this incident when an ex-employee came in with a pistol and did a murder suicide on the sysadmin whom he had a crush on. Messed up shite.
i work across the street from here and there were like 8 helicopters hovering overhead. too bad this is the only way we make the news down here :(
Updated at 815am... Found the guy dead in his Mountain View Apt. Single, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Same gun as used to kill the others.
With the upcoming financial crisis, I can see this becoming a gerund. Ex: "He totally was Jing-Wuing out."
Ummmmmm. Are you sure about that, HHumbert?
Just found this story on KTVU's website. Says the shooter was arrested.
I stand corrected on the suicide. That's what I get for taking SFGate comments as gospel. That's where I saw an update (in all caps) that he was found dead at 815am. Not 8:00 or 8:30 but 8:15. I should've been suspicious when the update mentioned that Jing Wu didn't know that Africa was a continent.
