More Colorful COKDEPINK Activists Arrested After Karl Rove Arrest Attempt

While yesterday's Karl Rove/John Edwards cabaret spectacular was re-scheduled for today -- in order to sidestep this from happening again, we'll asuume -- two sect members of the women’s peace group CODEPINK were pinched today at SF Marriot on 4th Street today for taking the stage alongside Karl Rove, staging a citizen’s arrest on charges of war crimes.

Going down at tje Commercial Finance Association's annual convention Janine Boneparth (who was busted last month for the same thing) and Nancy Mancias stole the show by getting up on stage an announcing "Ladies and gentlemen, Karl Rove is a war criminal!" And then? They got handcuffed and whisked away.

Why CODEPINK didn't get all up in Edwards' face for cheating on his wife remains a mystery. Because we would've been all, "Girl, hold my earrings!" (Pink Tank)

When are these lamos going to start throwing themselves in front of racehorses?

Perhaps beacuse John Edward's behavior didn't affect anyone but her, him, and his family, whereas there are people dead in the cold ground because of what Karl Rove has done? I don't understand why people care about other people's marriages in any way, shape, or form. Respect for Code Pink.

Most of the women in Code Pink are there because they were already cheated on and became spinsters with nothing better to do. Karl Rove is fat, annoying, pompous and bald - probably like most of their former husbands.

You might think they would nail Edwards to a cross for his transgressions but he's SO GODDAMN CUTE! And that smile and those dimples PLUS he cheats on his wife so he could be available. Is he???

*swoon*

Suckers for a pretty face, the whole lot. The entire bunch would have brought their big blue dresses to the Oval Office when Clinton was in there lining up for a shot at the presidential flag pole and money shot.

Code Pink is boorish, selfish and gives intelligent, politically active women a bad name.

At least there doing something unlike most people who just sit in there cubicle and post comments on someones blog.

Just saying.

Rob, thank you so very much for telling us politically active women how we think. Can I also get your opinion on the new Playtex Sport tampons? I don't want to try them and risk the leakage.

Pink Coke! Best fruedian slip ever!

i'm sure i don't know what you're talking about, jnice.

sf bikebike: Any political action performed in costume doesn't really count as doing something, does it?

See, now that's a protest I can get behind.

I guess being a social activist doesn't count unless you act like a total and complete douchebag in the public eye - further pushing other political activists AWAY from the cause because it is far too ridiculous to embrace.

Apparently, only people who make complete assholes of themselves in public and get arrested every few weeks like that "Don't Tase Me Bro" dickmonkey and the shits for brain at Code Pink can run the show? I suppose you thought those Berkeley Trustafarian pricks sitting in trees made a difference too? Seen them trees lately?

Oh wait, yet another protest gone bad due to poor planning by a bunch of stoned idiots.

Who anointed these self centered, ill spoken and violent morons as carriers of the torch we all must kneel before? Fuck them and their retarded methods, Miss Precious Perfect.

/muy kudos if you actually get that reference/

Fuck Code Pink because they make the rest of us look like even bigger assholes in the larger national and international picture for trying to do the right thing.

You do not make change from the outside bitching and making an ass of yourself. You enact change by getting involved quietly, sticking to your ideals and discussing what needs to be done and why. I probably swayed 500 votes to Obama that might have gone McCain or Clinton just by sitting down with people and having a rational discussion with them about the facts. I did not need to shove my dick in Karl Roves fat pasty ass, smack someone in the head with a pie nor get arrested to do it.

Let me repeat that for you activist kids who only understand something written on a monosyllabic placard while totally baked off your ass.

GET INTO THE SYSTEM, STICK TO YOUR IDEALS and MOST IMPORTANTLY DISCUSS THEM WITH OTHER INTELLIGENT ADULTS. WHEN YOU COME ACROSS A STUPID ADULT, THAT'S AN EASY VICTORY.

p.s.
@Katy, if you have a problem with regular spotting see your doctor for a potential STD, possible elevated blood pressure or just wear a panty liner around that time of month. And we all know what time of month it is right now. Besides, it's well past Labor Day and you shouldn't be wearing white Capri's in public anyway. And for all that is holy, please carry some of those little wipes when you ride MUNI.

: p

//double kudos if Katy found that amusing//

That would be pretty cool if I wasn't so sure they had done it in the douchiest way possible.

Good God, why don't these pink ladies just join a circus.

Oh and BTW, Karl Rove isn't/wasn't ever a an elected official.

thank you so much for not referring to medea benjamin and her droogs as "lovely."

this time.

Rob: Noted. I guess I just like the idea of Rove's presence being a source of idiocy. There's a certain poetry about it.

The entire history of politics has been punctuated by people who use humor and japery to make their political point. From Aristophanes to Samantha Bee, the chorus has been there to point out the ridiculous and pompous, highlight the crimes and lies. Code Pink fail because they are utterly humorless.
