Something called Bridge Finance Group is hosting a chat between former Republican Deputy White House Chief of Staff and scary man, Karl Rove; and former Democratic Senator and egotistical, lying, hypocritical, cheating sonofabitch, John Edwards. The duo will "engage in a point counterpoint discussion on the recent election and its impact on the U.S. economy and business environment." Will we see another protest by the gorgeous ladies of CODEPINK? We'll see. The discussion goes until 10:30 a.m. over at the SF Marriot on 4th Street. (Did you attend? LEt us know what it was like, will you? Thanks.)

stop calling them gorgeous! i just ate!
I am shocked that John Edwards can still get this kind of work.
who is steam cleaning the place after they leave? I kid ....
I'm covering this conference so I'll post a few pix!
OK, Edwards was(is?) a cheating turdball. But he has spoken out against poverty in this country when other politicians only spoke about it in hushed tones. You don't think you're being a tiny bit harsh. Goodness, you gave him more adjectives than you gave Rove!!
Lest you forget a certain president who did some pretty funky things with a White House intern... I don't think Edwards despicable act of infidelity should wipe out all his other endeavors... that's all.
relax. the adjectives are a line from "9 to 5". i'm sure edwards is a lovely person IRL.
Edwards is not a lovely person. He's just not. He was the speaker at my college graduation in '02. Total bore, but he was our third choice after pre-publicly-crazy Cosby and Robin Williams had to cancel. I was probably bitter, but I can't respect an ambulance chaser.
Downtown Willy brown is the only Politian that can get away with cheating and still have everyone rave about him. Even his predecessor didn’t have much luck in that department, he was cold hearted enough to do it to his best friend and chief of staff. I frankly don’t care if it makes his policies that more progressive polygamy, open relationships and dominatrix’s should be encouraged in the white house.
On a side note: McCain cheating on his first wife with Cindy might have made him the liberal republican he really was. Remember in 2004, he almost became an independent (democrat) the opposite of what Lieberman did this year.
There might be something to this, I might title my work. The study of open relationships and progressive ideology. An experiment of sexual exploration and its societal implications on reality, efficacy and progress.
Wank wank wank for irrelevant former political players. However much they're getting paid, it's too much. What insight could either of them possibly have to contribute?
Oh, I see. "Bridge Finance Group." Just another bunch of rich white guys hanging out together and figuring out what the options for exploitation in the future are. I predict that only barely will this touch on politics.
Karl Rove? Oh yeah, he's the guy who was setting up a permanent Republican majority in 2004. I wonder how that's coming along?
I saw the movie starring these two. It was called "Douche and Douchier".
If there is an afterlife, Carl Rove deserves to spend it being waterboarded.
I certainly would not call Edwards, "lovely."... But in any case, being a bore isn't a crime...
@dolemite43:
" I can't respect an ambulance chaser."
Yeah? I'll bet when you get hurt and the company that did it tries to screw you over, you'll gain a great more respect for those "ambulance chasers."
Referring to plaintiff attorneys as ambulance chasers = tool of big corporations.
hey, i love lawyers! they've gotten me out of more troubled times than i can count.
He did nothing for my state at all as a Senator. Nothing. Of course NC might be notorious for bad senators.
@Row_D. What about voting in favor of the Patriot Act? Is that a crime?
@Bluecanary. I know. You are right. I'm dating a plaintiff's attorney - I just like to keep things interesting at home.
@Row_D. Since my sarcasm may be overlooked. I hope you see the joke up there.
I think Cindy McCain can be another case study of this whole study... I knew she was kinky!
