The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Action Fund has a similar call out for folks to direct their Anger into Action -- you can pledge not to fight hate with hate and do something constructive instead here: http://thetaskforce.kintera.org/anger2action There's also a Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=32837409263 The Task Force Action Fund isn't endorsing one specific action at this stage, but they have a similar project underway to compile different folks' constructive, proactive actions. There is no action too small, and every action -- symbolic or more tangible -- makes a difference. From here on in we look to eachother, not some pie-in-the-sky non-profit. This movement is going to be fought and won by us, grassroots-style.

I wonder if any work is underway to put a proposition on the 2010 ballot to reverse Prop 8. Seems like that would be a good avenue to explore.

Donate to the local ACLU and Kate Kendall's group (can't remember name offhand and too busy to look it up) - aren't they the ones putting resources into fighting the implementation of Prop 8 (along with our hero City Attorney Dennis Herrera)?

This is also a good read, although I'd argue that religion was an even bigger factor in Prop 8 than age. Unfortunately, the CNN poll doesn't have much data on religion correlated with race, but I would guess that non-Christians make up a greater proportion of the white population than the black population.

I just wanted to remind everyone that the NAACP and the Anti Defamation League were very active in the no on 8 campaign and in the legal challenges that are going on now. They deserve thanks and support! I would also add one or two long term goals here Brock: urging the legislature to require 2/3 majority vote for intiatives that change the state contitution amd banning out of state funding for statewide initiatives.
