Prop. 8 Candlelight Vigil/Community Meeting at City Hall Tonight

Oh, by the way, there will be a candlelight vigil at City Hall this evening for any and all who want to commiserate on Prop. 8 passing. Not sure what will go down. (Hide the police cars!) But it might be a great way for some of you to vent. Peacefully, that is. It starts at 6:30 p.m., City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place.

Aren't candlelight vigils usually reserved for memorials? I know we're all disappointed, but we should be getting fired up, not weepy. It seems to me that the people who are taking this most in stride are the people who worked the hardest and knew what we were up against. Let's take a page from their book, buck up, and figure out how to win in court or in the not-so-distant future.

wallcloud: you can get fired up for the march on Friday at 5:30pm, starting on Market at 7th, ending at Dolores Park. [long walk, i know]...get creative and make a colorful sign to bring along with you! if enough people show up we can send a strong message to the state that we're not giving up! everrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
