Muni's Guide to Election Night: Take the Biodiesel Bus

castro%20and%20market.jpg

Due to huge crowds that are expected to take to the streets tonight at Castro and Market, Muni goes improv tonight. And with that comes adjustments to service in anticipation of the hordes of happy voters. According to the SFMTA guru Kristen Holland:

By 7:00 p.m., the following Muni trolley bus routes and the F Market historic streetcar line will be motorized (i.e. biodiesel buses substituted for electric vehicles):

- 24 Divisadero

-33 Stanyan

You might want to re-think heading up Market Street on your way home, too, drivers. Sounds like the area will be packed. But on the plus side, may you knees breath easy tonight, F-Market riders!

What could possibly go wrong?

The post after this is an ad to visit England, maybe it's a hint that it's time to get out of Dodge.

Sounds like a big party!

Odd that just last week, the city shut down the Castro and kept people on the sidewalk... but tonight, it sounds like people will flood the streets too.
