Tomorrow's election day is being billed as the single most important event in the history of the universe.
But where can you honor such a hyperbolic night, you ask? Where can you celebrate and/or commiserate on tomorrow night's election result. Where can you get wasted with other annoying wonks such as yourself? Well, probably at any bar with a TV screen. But let us know where we can check out tomorrow night's result, nightlife gurus and various headquarters. Either post your election night party info in the comments or email here.
We'll then post them all in one convenient little package early tomorrow morning. OK? OK.

I predict a riot in the castro if 8 passes.
if the triple play happens (no on 8 & 4 plus Obama) there will be mania in the streets.
If anyone wants to crash the Republican festivities, they will be partying here:
ELECTION NIGHT PARTY
Hosted by CRP, San Francisco Repubican Party & the San Francisco Young Republicans
Where: Jones Bar - Lombard & Scott, San Francisco
When: Tuesday, November 4, 2008, 7:00 PM
SAN FRANCISCO REPUBLICAN ELECTION NIGHT GATHERING
The San Francisco Republican Party and the San Francisco Young Republicans are hosting an election night party at Jones Bar, 2400 Lombard Street (corner of Scott),San Francisco, Ca 94123. The party will begin at 7:00.
I'll be there drinking a bottle of that fine German wine— Schadenfreude.
Word on the street is that there will be some sort of gathering and large screen at 330 Ritch...
The Dems and no on 4 and 7 are at the St Francis after 8pm
This is what I don't understand. I got an invitation to one of the supervisor candidate's watch parties, and it doesn't start til 8. Why so late? Yeah, yeah, that's when the polls close, but you know the nationwide election will (hopefully, and they are predicting) be called way before then.
Where can I watch/drink as each state's precinct reports?? Where can I moan as a red state is announced for McCain? Where can I whoop and holler when yet another swing state swings Obama's way?
I need to start my revelry way before 8, people!
We'll be compiling a list of election parties over at SFBG. Meanwhile, though, we already have ideas for where to get your drinks with your democracy here.
Kilowatt's showing it. I asked what channel they'd be showing and they said they'd do whatever people asked for - fingers crossed for Comedy Central coverage on at least one TV.
Also, Doc's is showing it on their projection screen at the back. I'd assume it starts when they open at 6.
Edinburgh Castle's website says they'll have "full election coverage on the big screen".
I don't want to go anywhere that doesn't have wifi, though. TV is okay, but on a computer I can be checking on the local AND state AND national races all at once.
I've found Valley Tavern in Noe Valley to be a very good spot for election watching. My current plan is to start drinking and watching with some good food at the neighbors, and then when they put their kids to bed, go finish McCain off at Valley Tavern. There is a lesbian who holds court there frequently for political events (State of the Union Addresses, etc...) who provides most awesome theatre.
Just posted a short list of events over at SF Metblog too.
I'm not sure I want to be around people if bad things happen.
Plumby has a good idea though. Someplace with wifi.
We have a little roundup from Friday over at MenuPages. Riptide seems like fun if you live on that side of town.

The League of Pissed Off Voters are going to be at El Rio. Here's the blurb:
Election Night Party at El Rio!
Where: El Rio, 3158 Mission St (at Cesear Chavez)
When: 8:01 pm until McCain drops, then we party in the streets!
Come celebrate the end of the election and watch the results with us on the big screen. Bring your ballot stub and get a free drink! There will be TVs in the front room, election results projected on the wall in the back yard, and live music and DJs in the back room.
The Independent will be showing the returns, as will Mezzanine and 330 Ritch. All events are free.
Crashing the republican party sounds like fun...
Sadly though I've already committed to joining in the shenanigans at 330 Ritch...
I see the District 3 Democratic Club will be holding a party at King Cha Cha beginning at four. 4:00 in the afternoon = people who are as obsessed as I am. This is where I will be.
What would be more appropriate than following election day coverage at a bar called Harlot?
(It's not on their website's event calendar but I got their e-mail saying they're opening doors at 5pm.)
Inner Mission Tavern on the corner of 20th and Shotwell St will be airing the Election night coverage...Doors open at 4pm.
2lips (1414 Market cross 10th) will have 3 flat screens of continuous election coverage all day and night. They have 2 dollar Bud bottles, 2 dollar well shots, and food. Should be a lot of folks who watched the debates there.
