@everyone.

Tried to see if I could find any other articles confirming or denying this rumor...actually found a movie trailer called "courting condi" about a white man who is in love with her. haha. it was actually pretty funny.

Here's the link:

Who cares? The 49ers is a privately-owned big-money company, a cash cow for some rich ass you already don't like and who would not give you the time of day. It's the sports equivalent of a local Wal-Mart, with revenues multiplied by several hundred.

It would be different if somebody threatened to give her control of City Lights or Taqueria El Farolito or something real.

Yeah, the 49ers are bread-and-circuses -- they are bread-and-circuses that I enjoy.

The criticism that sportsfans basically cheer for laundry certainly applies these days.

(City Lights isn't going anywhere; it's a landmark. And if anything threatened Farolito, that'd be a Watchmen-level event for all the various appreciable gangs in that area and the threat would be summarily dismissed.)

Pro sports teams are beholden to no one 'cept their owners. Look at the BS perpetrated on Seattle by the Sonics/Thunder owners. Ideally, teams contribute-to, entertain, and enrich the community that they're in.

The Yorks might not give me the time of day, but then again I haven't asked.

The Yorks wouldn't directly hire Crazy Crab. It would be Scot (or Condi) or maybe some high-priced "staffing consultant".

And see, this illustrates how the Yorks function (dysfunction?). They practically have no knowledge of the sport, the team's tradition, etc. They would look at the unemployed and unpopular Crazy Crab (fired after one season) the same way they've practically looked at everyone else on their payroll. With poor judgment.

Hey, I got it! The Yorks could fire the Forty-Niner mascot and hire Crazy Crab!

Dr. York prob'ly doesn't even know who Crazy Crab is. After all, he doesn't live here.

Well, the Niners could keep Alex Smith. If they start winning, they might screw themselves out of a good position in the NFL draft. And next home game, two MUNI buses can crash instead of one.

Alas for Alex, there's no way the Niners'll keep him after the latest injury. It feels like that point in their relationship where both parties know that they've gotta move on. Maybe a change of scenery will do him well, if he can heal up his shoulder. Otherwise he'll end his career on that injury, like Tim Couch or Cade McNown. Odds are, if he can get better, he might get a job under Norv in SD.

As for the draft, the Niners have a couple other teams that're out-doing them in terms of Fail: no wins yet for the Bengals or Lions. Will they start winning a few and move down in the draft? Mmmm, I'd say no. Maybe 3 or 4 wins the rest of the way tops.

As for MUNI, I can't even make a joke about that... what can be worse than suffering through a game like that, THEN being in a bus accident. Extra-tough to be those fans.

The Queen of the Chicken Hawks running the York's 49ers? Sadly, that sound just about right.

> Evidently the phrase "It could be worse..." no longer applies.

Heck, we're already in such a cartoonish place... best that could be said is that they didn't consider Matt Millen. And that we're not Lions fans. Those guys have it tough.

Well, how COULD things get worse? Anyone got any ideas? Post 'em.

That's the worst part. Or at least part of the worst part -- the plausibility of it.

We know she likes football and wants to come back to the Bay Area...
