This morning a Muni bus, the rare 77x Candlestick Express, "careened out of control" and smacked into a light pole on Van Ness at Geary. The incident, which occurred at around 11:30 a.m., sent six people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The bus also flattened a tree upon impact. RIP, fallen fella.

My friend witnessed this. Apparently it was caused by a group of peds in halloween costumes who were crossing against the light. They ran off when they saw what they'd created.
