Egads!

(And here's where they're parked when not performing dazzling air acrobatics high above. Oh, and we still want to know about any sweaty, drunken, mildly homoerotic Fleet Week parties going on, folks. Thanks.)

An F-16 and F-86 (old school) just buzzed my office, flying in formation. I guess that the USAF did not want to be left out.

For the first time since I've moved here I'm actually at home while it's going on. NOW I know what everyone has been bitching about. this shit is ridiculously loud.

Getting these f---ing war planes out of HERE! We don't need the stinking $4 million dollars. They are loud, they waste gas and they are meant to encourage people to go die for a mismanaged war that is based on lies. Our city's economy has enough strong businesses and bright people that we don't need these blood thirsty moronic military jarheads buying crap made in China down at fishermans wharf, ok? Getting these bastards out of HERE!

Let me see if I got this right....

F-16's buzzing your residence = acceptable noise level

Conversation while having a cigarette outside bar = unacceptable noise level

That's just fascinating.

Chill the fuck out. Yes, they are loud but entertaining.

Gas, shmas, get over it hippie. Yes, they waste gas but so do cars and airplanes. In shitty times like these, people like to get entertained so fuck off and put some headphones on, get stoned, and listen to the dead or something.

thank you!
That made my day.

I for one welcome our Blue Angels overlords.

Seriously though, folks need to chill the frak out. It's only for a few days and they are cool to watch. And the noise is a hassle but I used to live on the Peninsula where we had noisemakers from SFO daily.

And btw, a friendly reminder - all service personnel in uniform or with military ID ride MUNI for free.
