Maybe someone thought it would be "cute" and "child-like" to put misplaced apostrophes and Mercedes Benz symbols on their t-shirts. To me, it's just testament to a poor education system. But, yay! Children for Obama. I guess they prefer that we don't spend their social security for them.

No way that kid is called Kid. Parents now only name their kids after inanimate objects (Brick), or sports seasons (Track). That future Republican (she's about a year away from doing a 180 from everything her parents believe) is probably called Gossip, Table, or Coin or something equally twat-like.

Maybe the apostrophe is a contraction, thus indicating who she is presently supporting. i.e. "Kid is supporting Obama." I might be even more appropriate if her name is "Kid".

When I was little, (let's say around the time of Reagan/Mondale election) I seem to remember that it was considered ethically questionable for children to publicly endorse candidates and to participate so directly in the political process. Is this just a sign of changing social mores, or am I misremembering the Reagan era?

That's awesome. Though their parents should have told them that's a Mercedes symbol, not a Peace sign. Good intentions though, so hard to fault.
