Man Accused of Killing Angels' Leader Surrenders

The guy wanted in connection with the shooting death of San Francisco Hells Angels' leader Mark Guardado surrendered to authorities. Christopher Ablett, 37, of Modesto gave himself up in Oklahoma on Saturday. Ablett is a member of the Angels' rivals gang, the Mongols Motorcycle Club. (An aside: we appreciate both violent gangs having their own sites. We hope local Norteños and Sureños chapters soon become this web savvy.)
If you recall, Guardado was killed outside Dirty Thieves on the night of September 2. (SFGate)
Update: Norteños have a MySpace page (profile Views: 90590, has 867 friends, "All Hyphy/Thizz faggots get out!") as do their counterparts, the Sureños (profile Views: 84060, has 1738 friends). Which layout do you prefer?
Oh, and thanks for the tip, periqueblend!

So "Suspects have been arrested"? Wow, this is a first for the SFPD. Nice to know that when it came down to it they were able to put in some solid police work and catch him.
Oh and why don't we get a link to the story here? Just an old SFist link and a Mongols website link? C'mon Brock, sources.
oops. my mistake. fixed.
(oh, and come down, you!)
the nortenos and surenos actually have a huge web presence and it quite properly LiVeS On MySpAcE!!!!111
Belgand: If you read the story you'll see that he surrendered in Oklahoma. No SFPD work necessary.
being taken alive is not exciting at all
I never knew that Tom was both a Norteno and a Sureno.
He's awfully white to get caught in the middle of a little playground fight between the Central American folk, no?
here is a link to the Oklahoma newspaper regarding the article.

guess getting ass raped day-in-day-out is preferable to ending up with your head on a pike in front of the hells angels clubhouse.
@manys
Yes, I know. That is what makes it sarcasm. Someone was caught in a high-profile murder related to the increasing problems with gang violence that this city has been experiencing and the SFPD didn't have anything to do with solving it. The guy turned himself in in another state. Way to go SFPD!
I realize how hard it is to catch these people, but SFPD presence at anything other than a civic event where masses of them are getting plenty of overtime is almost non-existent. They fight continually for raises and they don't patrol transit (as they're allegedly supposed to... a while back on City Desk Newshour Bevan Dufty gave out his cell phone number and asked people to call him if they ever see a cop on a bus... I know I never have), they fight against foot patrols, and they mainly just stay in their cars in a city where that's probably the least effective means of patrol.
I'm not saying that all officers are bad as I can't comment on them individually, but I will blame the union, Heather Fong, and the rest of the administration.
