I don't think this is a case of new mother syndrome. This kid is something like 4 now. I just love the whole "My kid needs injections in his feet!!" "No, he needs to put on socks" argument. That is classic California crazy/rich.

The botox idea is possibly a little crazy, but I'd have to read up before I passed judgment. As for the spinal disorder, my mother rushed me to four different specialists when I was a baby because she thought my bowed legs (uh, all babies have those), was the sign of some kind of problem. It's called new mother syndrome. Sometimes they overreact a little. I'm not judging her on this one. However, the fact that full physical custody was given to the father does suggest she might have some issues.
