SFist Tonight

FILM: John Schlesinger's 1975 film of Nathanael West's 1939 novel, The Day of the Locust, features three awe-inspiring moments: Hollywood in the '30, the divine Karen Black, and a terrifying 20-minute finale. This classic about "alienation and desperation of a disparate group of individuals whose dreams of success have failed to come true" screens in the Castro.
