Reading Marke B.'s latest post about DJ Bus Station John's up-and-coming sock hop, we came across this amazing, touching, and downright adorable footage of the Folsom Street Fair circa 1970. (Be sure to wait for a glimpse of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath at 3:30.)
The annual leather/sex street fair happens this Sunday, celebrating 25 years (?!?!) of leather, sex, cheap beer, SoMa, and meats on sticks.

This footage is like the Zapruder Film among Sabbath fans and there is question as to when this occurred and if the band was actually present.
If the band was, in fact, at the parade, it was certainly not August 16th, 1970 since the band's first visit to the US was in New York on October 29th of that year. They came out to SF and played the Fillmore a few days later.
I'm not sure what you are seeing at 3:30, but I don't see the band. At 5:17, you can see that the person in the green outfit, regardless of the fact that she appears to be a biological female, is clearly not Ozzy.
It is also fairly clear that the band is not playing on either of the flatbed trucks. At 3:46 you can get a good look at a bassist who is not Geezer Butler, and a guitarist that is right handed (Iommi is a lefty). There is another band playing at 6:49 but BS did not have keyboards back then and the guitarist is not playing an SG.
If the band does appear in the video, there is a chance that they are sitting on the front of the float at 5:09 but despite having seen this footage countless times, I can't tell.
Brock, if you have any inside info, lots of people, including myself, would be very interested.
