Schwarzenegger Signs Budget

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger finally -- finally! -- scribbled his John Hancock on the state budget, bringing an end to the longest budget limbo in California history. (After begrudgingly signing the budget, according to the Gate, Arnold scurried off to a rally for Proposition 11, one that would "take authority to draw legislative districts away from state lawmakers.") This, of course, doesn't end the budget skirmish. California voters will be asked to "tie up the agreement's loose ends during a special election next year." So...there you have it. (SFGate)
