there aren't enough boobs in the world to milk and make the amount of ice cream that i alone eat in a single year. if ben and jerry's were to take this on, they'd need to start milking men. and that just isn't something i'm prepared for.

Pfft. Save the animals? Save the humans. You know that if human breast milk is going to be widely used we'll just have a bunch of asian sweatshop milking farms. They'll be allowed to graze, and walk around, but spend most of their life attached to a breast pump. Same as cows. Personally I think we'll get far more use out of those sweatshops being used as they currently are. To make our clothes.

Not only is this disgusting but you can actually get HIV from breast milk. There is no way I am taking that chance and eating products made from breast milk. Gross!

I have a 16 year old. Yes, I am a product of the South, with a little bit in common with Bristol Palin (but even I wouldn't date a self-professed redneck with a mullet. I do have SOME standards!) Unfortunately for the width of my ass, said teen is no longer breastfeeding.

I've always been curious about why people don't bat an eye about drinking cow's milk or cheese made from goat's milk (etc.) but freak out about human milk. Most of us drank it when we were babies, right? When does it become gross? Not that I'm looking to chug a glass of it with my chocolate cake... just wondering.

Not for a very certain clientele... Bingo. But first I want to hear how this will affect my wine & fruit parings. I'm serious. 1) How does boobie cheese compare to chèvre/fetta types? 2) Does pasteurization ruin the flavor? 3) Semi-soft? Aged? Washed-rind. 4) Would the scarcity make fondue cost prohibitive? 5) Do donations from Swiss fräuleins taste better than those from, um, Oakland? So many questions.

Considering breast feeding gives you the ability to eat like a pig and still lose weight, if they can figure out a way to make me start lactating without having to go through childbirth, they can hook me up to a milker tomorrow.

Animals will also benefit from the switch to breast milk. Like all mammals, cows only produce milk during and after pregnancy, so to be able to constantly milk them, cows are forcefully impregnated every nine months. After several years of living in filthy conditions and being forced to produce 10 times more milk than they would naturally, their exhausted bodies are turned into hamburgers or ground up for soup. Yummy delicious hamburgers? Sign me up. Perhaps they'll be served at the new Burger Bar.
