It was Newsom pretending to be hip and cool about all that intertubes stuff by interviewing Steve Chen, one of the two founders of YouTube. The subject was "Politics in the Era of YouTube" and though Chen was obviously smart and interesting, Newsom's questions were dull and obvious. I left halfway but I'm glad Frank was there displaying some excitement.

Yeah, one of his questions was something like, "What do you see as the future of YouTube in upcoming elections, say, the 2012 presidential race and, um, perhaps the, uh, elections of 2010?" Someone behind us said "Like the gubernatorial?"
