Yes, Carly didnt, usually being an utter failure doesnt merit you enough to comment on these things unless you are campaigning for John McCain. I am suprised people arent freaking out more about Palin and her refusal to cooperate with troopergate, its reminding me of those sad people on "cops" claiming they dont have drugs, when their car is full of them. Lastly I am really sad that many women are moving over to support Palin, just because he has a vagina. I support candidates male or female who support equality, just because Barack didnt get Hillary to become VP doesnt mean hes sexist, we dont know what they discussed behind the scenes, maybe he was just avoiding Bill! BTW I like Hillary even if she spins a yarn once in a while...

the skit was "sexist in the sense that just because Sarah Palin has different views than Hillary Clinton does not mean that she lacks substance." Sorry, that's not the definition of sexism. Pointing out someones "different views"- that's just judgment (or uh, humor). They are both women and they were both the subject of a COMEDY skit.

Two women. One smart. One, not so much. Sexist. Ok, got it now. I don't know if the race-card has any legs left in it, but this sex-card has a great pair. Toned. Tanned. Yummy. The Repubs are gonna ride this sex-card til November and they're gonna ride it reverse cowgirl.

At this point the only way for them to gain safe ground is to force everyone else off-balance and then step out of the fray, posturing as the voice of measured reason. That and it's a pretty accurate reflection of the nature of the messiness, web of denial and the voices inside the heads of staunch republicans and their pundits; delivered to as entertainment by the equivalent of those parasitic sucker-fish on the sides sharks. It's surreal because it is surreal. Count yourself sane for recognizing it.

Ahh yes, the republicans once again try to frame the discussion. It's not that she doesn't have substance, it's that someone "portrayed" her that way and anyone that does so is a sexist. Granted, I'm not saying it's good framing but that's the jist. All I can hope is that with what a shrill nut-job Sarah Palin comes off as, and other people like Carly continue to step up to defend her, in this case as another powerful and prominent woman but (un)fortunately a nut-job in her own right, that they spread enough feces on the tracks so that the train just slides off. The republicans are looking desperate trying to portray themselves as not being desperate. But of course my use of nut-job in this context is *cough*code*cough* for *irrational female* so clearly I've traveled from from *being against the troops* town to sexistland. My depravity has no bounds.

Palin doesn't lack substance because she disagrees with Clinton. Palin lacks substance because she's ignorant of foreign policy, domestic policy, and economics.
