The hydrant in front of Smart & Final / Java Detour at S. Van Ness and Duboce/Division/13th is across the street from my office and it 'pops' every few months. Mostly because it's exposed to the street and is in a high traffic area and must be getting hit. It floods the whole area under the 101 overpass. It's entertaining!

That's at 8th and Harrison, right by AK Subs. Funny thing is - there's a picture on the wall at AK of the same exact thing happening to the same hydrant a few years back.
