Arrests Made/Info Needed on Richmond and Taraval District Gangs
Seven youths and one 18-year-old, Duc Truong, were arrested yesterday in connection with several assaults on other juveniles in the San Francisco's Richmond and Taraval hoods over the last few weeks. All of them are thought to be a part of some sort of "Chinese gang" gaily called the "True Brothers" gang. It seems "five attacks took place over the past two months and involved the suspects attacking the victims with baseball bats and knives." Do you know anything about this very real order of fraternity? Then please call SFPD's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 now. Also, this brings up a critical question, who would win in a fight: True Brothers or Sureños? Our money is on the latter. (CBS 5)

Are you sure it's 'some sort of "Chinese gang"'? 'Duc Truong' isn't a Chinese name. Vietnamese, maybe?

At risk of sounding like an old bitty, where the hell are these kids' parents? These little shits aren;t in gangs out of some form of social necessity, they're from middle-class homes in the Sunset and Daly City; poseurs taking it one step over the line. Ridiculous.
@joel Exactly. Why do you think the police got warrants and were able to make arrests? I doubt it was from good "police work" It's cause they are from "middle-class homes in the Sunset and Daly City" and middle class people are able to snitch and get away with it.
As a middle class person I snitch all the time. I dropped the dime on Quentin the other day for pouring a Bordeaux without first offering me a fresh glass. And someone has to finger Carter for paying his son's school fees out of the little tike's trust fund.
Taraval district? Isn't that Parkside? And I don't know if the Surenos know Kung Fu, but I do and he owes me 20 bucks.
The only Taraval I know is the Taraval police district, which includes the sunset, west portal, forest hill, park merced, parkside, ingleside, oceanview, etc...basically the entire west side of the city except for the Richmond.
Taraval police district is nearly 1/4 of the entire city. It's huge.
