However, Sarah Palin made her daughter's fetus a public issue because she ran on an abstinence only education platform when she ran for governor of Alaska. Unfortunately, Ma and Pa Kettle probably think the founding fathers did write the pledge of allegiance. And made the decision to stick "In God We Trust" on our currency. I'd like to go back to a time when people WANTED their leaders to be smarter than them. What's so shameful about an education?

Also, Rush Limbaugh referred to Chelsea as the "white house dog." No, they "never did this to Chelsea Clinton." they were much, MUCH worse. @missiondweller: Um, the fact that she threatened the librarian with termination if she didn't remove certain books from the shelves isn't real? Or maybe the fact that she squawks anti-choice, abstinence only platitudes and then cuts funding for charities that support teenage mothers? and then forces her daughter into a shotgun marriage with a self-proclaimed "redneck" (whose myspace page says he doesn't want kids). She threw her daughter under a bus in her quest for the brass ring. Is that not real enough for you? She tried to throw her political weight around and get her brother in law fired because he was in a custody battle with her sister? Is that not real? All these "details" have been documented exhaustively. Are you suggesting that all this is somehow fake? What exactly is the "real" you want us to all wait for?

bluecanary is spot on. Just because Sarah Palin has a vagina doesn't mean Hillary supporters are going to vote for her. I would love to know what books she wanted banned! I'm voting for Catcher in the Rye. And it looks like Sarah Palin is all about firing any one who disagrees with her or anyone who divorces her sister.

The more I learn about McCain's VP pick Palin, the more I cringe about a politician who wants to take away freedoms (speech, religion, marriage, medical choices like abortion, etc.) from Americans. Then again, I think McCain probably screwed himself with this pick because independent voters will likely also gag at the thought of electing someone who advocates changing laws to eliminate individual freedoms.
