Superman was here

"Watch the doors"

Muni is sorry!

HULK STOP TRAIN NOW!

my bad.

Oh look, Muni has a hangnail.

Thanks Willie for these awsum Ferrari streetcars.

is it me or have there been an unusual amount of door failures lately? I would love to see stats on the percentage of delays caused by doors failing in some way.

Geez, all you glass-empty types. The door is still attached to the train, so lets roll 'em!

This is what happens when everyone packs into the front of the N.

Imagine THAT beep.

@icbalaam...you made me lol

not surprising - if you continue to cut maintenance, parts and the like and spend all the money on salaries, well...

Rep. Pelosi just secured a grant to try and catch up on some of these things, let's hope it works.

Bricks on wheels. This is why Muni adult passes have the BART option because at least it can get you from Balboa Park to downtown in no time.

icebalaam FTW!

@icbalaam

SERIOUSLY! that beep has gotta GO!

icbalaam, totally!! I still can't understand the purpose of the beep. You would think there would be a slight warning to let you know that the doors are about to close (watch your fingers and toes) but not when they have already hit you. Wouldn't you know you got hit by the door and thus there is no need for the obnoxious beep? Makes NO sense. Mr. Ford, your thoughts?

Remember the old days when the crappy Boeing cars would make a hissing sound when the doors would close? At least that gave you a warning that wasn't annoying.

Akit: you got a chuckle out of me. The BART train I was on got stuck at Balboa Park for a few seconds as the doors refused to open... they then started spasming at Civic Center station. Thankfully they didn't fall off. lol.

The funny thing is there's some truth to that -- the exterior design of the trains was done by the same company that designs car bodies for Ferrari.

That's what you get from an agency that was just happy to buy cars that even Boston rejected. IIRC Boston even had issues with their later Breda replacements.

So way to go. Our completely idiotic above-ground light-rail system continues to fail. And get stuck in traffic forever because the damn thing isn't a proper subway like we desperately need.

Or, we could just take it out of Nate Ford's salary. You know the one that keeps going up despite the lack of any improvements? That one.
