See, Kaiser is in the process of contacting 960 new mothers about possible exposure after a part-time postpartum unit employee, who no longer works for the hospital, tested positive for tuberculosis. Live long. And thrive. Unless we fuck you.

i'm not surprised, the staff at that Kaiser is shockingly stupid. my dear friend was demented, but was in obvious pain, she was grabbing at the area of her abdomen, where she was ill. when i asked the nurse if she had been given pain meds, the RN told me the patient hadn't asked for any. when i pointed out the patient was obviously unable to do that, she went and got a tablet. it wasn't until i insisted she call a dr and get an order for IV pain med and waited for her to do it did my friend get the meds. she died an hour after i left. in the 3 weeks she was there, there was a different doctor every time i went. when i'd ask about her status, they'd say they didn't know as this was the first time they had seen her.
Consistency of care? Humanity? Responsibility? Forget it.
