SATURDAY, TENDERLOIN: Anyone know exactly what went down here. The fuzz didn't seem to know what we're talking about when we contacted them. According to an SFist tipster, "[I] just went through the projects on Turk at Laguna, and was rerouted by police. There were about 50 cops and a handful of undercovers, and tons of people outside. Anyone hear what happened? This was around 10:30 or so, and as of 11:15, they're still there, and no word from the regular news sources." Come on, readers, spill it.
SATURDAY, VISITACION VALLEY: a 20-year-old man was shot an astounding six times around 5:30 p.m. at Brookdale Avenue and Santos Street. The unidentified lad was whisked away to SF General where he is in critical condition. No arrests have been made.
SUNDAY, RICHMOND: A 73-year-old man was murdered in Sunday night after he was shot in the head while driving. The shooting occurred in the city of Richmond before 10 p.m. near South 15th Street and Virginia Avenue. No arrests have been made.
OAKLAND; FRI, SAT, SUN...: Massive wave of armed robberies hit Oakland restaurants. Are you afraid of dining in the East Bay?

whatever happened to the guy that confessed to a recent murder and brought in the murder weapon but was released "pending further investigation?"
And what about the lade that was hit by the muni train last week?
How about the road closures and hundreds of cops on Turk/Laguna on Friday night?
i almost forgot! i'll add ity. thanks, TC.
Awesome. If it was covered here, SFist would be the only news outlet covering what seemed to me like a major police activity.
I'm not whining about this slight geographical error, but Turk/Laguna is Western Addition, not the TL.
