What's Going On Here, Carole Migden?

bannerMigden07.jpg

Yikes.

After Carole Migden was heard "berating" her Capitol staff yesterday, they were told to stay home today. Egads, right? According to Sacto Bee:

Enedina Hidalgo, the director of personnel for the state Senate, overheard Migden screaming, according to a witness to the event. The source said she entered the office while the senator was not present on Thursday, informing the staff of their rights.

Soon after, Hidalgo returned to Migden's office with Tony Beard Jr., the chief sergeant-at-arms of the state Senate. They told the staff to pack up their belongings and escorted them out of the building, the witness said.

Dude.

Carole, of course, denies that her staff was sent home. The infamously "brusque" Sen. declined further comment.

If you recall, Migden lost a three-way Democratic race to Mark Leno earlier this year. Was that the cause of her alleged hysteria? We're dying to know what she was screaming about this time. Oh, that Carole.

Although I'm not in her district I'm glad to see this bag o' trail mix headed out the door

Someone always loses in a threeway. (sigh)

I work at the Capitol up here in Sacramento, and lived in San Francisco for 15 years. All I can say is Migden is an embarassment to the city and treats people, including her collegues in the legislature, like dirt on her shoe. I can't tell you how many times I have heard her cut people off mid-sentence, mutter something vulgar under her breath, all while walking around with an air of pomposity that's truly a joke to behold. Leno is not only a gentleman, but more effective as a lawmaker. Voters in SF made the right choice. Migden is a bitter, old, self-rightious peice of shit. The kind of person that is especially dangeraous with any kind of power. Good riddance!!!

That DUI shit she pulled is paying dividends now. I'll be happy when Leno takes over.

Sacto doesn't go in for booze and dope.

she was angry 'cause somebody was in her pill stash.

Generic!

So ya watched Valley of the Dolls !

Having had that woman in my home, as she was BFF with my equally insane landlord, I can confirm that she is, indeed, bugfuck nutso mcwacky. Like, shambling around in a filthy suit, house-slippers, and mismatched socks crazy. Gibbering, leering.

Mark Leno is not crazy, he's just an asshole.

I hear she's going to replace the Angry Daly on the Board of Supervisors once Daly is termed out. Since they are BFF, that should work out good!

Please, God, let's not have another Supervisor with immature behavioral issues.

I thought having immature behavioral issues was the only prerequisite to getting on the BOS

*?*

RobinSF's right: you need at least one major personality defect to be a BOS. The electorate has deemed it so.

Can we add a measure to the other 22 already on the City's ballot to rescind the alienating personality defect requirement for getting elected to the BOS?

Sure, go right ahead.

The measure would fail though -- SF voters *love* douchey elected officials. Year in, year out, they've made their voices heard at the polls.

I suspect the process of getting on the BOS directly causes The Crazy. Like their drinking fountain has lead pipes, I dunno.
