"Six Feet of Sunshine" won the gold! On internet streaming video, you can enjoy last night's gold medal victory wherein two outrageously fine California blonds defeated two outrageously fine Asian brunettes, each of the ladies all sweaty and wearing no more than, like, six square inches of clothing. Seriously, you should watch that. Hell, we were straight-up masturbating to it!
It was the olmypic championship for Women's Beach Volleyball, the most blatantly sexualized olympic sport. Saratoga native Kerri Walsh and partner Misty May-Treanor extended their winning "streak" to 108 games with the victory. The duo has capably topped all of it's opponents since their last defeat more than a year ago to the also quite desirable and also quite local Nicole Branagh(with Elanie Youngs). Kerri has played with her partner Misty (heh heh...) for eight consecutive years, and we hope their winning chemistry continues.

Did you hear this nutbag dedicate their victory to President Bush last night?!?
Killfiled.
really? that sucks.
but, sadly, athletes aren't known for the intellect or tact.
After NBC's unceasing coverage of these two (not to mention the network's overall jingoistic and xenophobic commentary throughout the games), I was rooting for the Chinese to win.
Of course, as a gay man, I probably don't enjoy this sport on the same level as others...
Speaking of which, men's diving tomorrow night... Le sigh...
No women's soccer in prime time, but I see this chick every night for weeks. BOOO.
Joe, your admission (or is that emission?) of masturbating to this brings up a recent conversation I had. Considering how many men are into watching sports and a lot of those men are str8, why come is it that Women's sports isn't at the top of the ratings? It's always been generally considered "gay" to watch women's sports yet watching men's sports, which is sweaty, often scantily clad, adjusting themselves for the camera, and openly grabbing each other's butts, isn't?
I saw them on Letterman last year or so and was NOT impressed by their intelligence or their style (Thats practically a dreadlock braid, is it not? I guess we don't need to look at their heads anyhoo, just their bodies). And now, I'm not impressed by their political POV. Waste of coverage, in my opinion.
The other one spreading her mother's ashes on the sand was a bit mawkish to say the least. And out of a plastic film canister, that was classy. But hey, the butt cheeks made up for it. And the hugging. And the Brazilians.
The Bush thing was probably because of this (there's a better picture of him closely investigating her tattoo, but I couldn't find it in less than three seconds)

I believe the women's beach volleyball ratings are destroying the men's team's, at the least. Of course it helps that, like Brittney mentioned, they shoved these two down our throats.
It also helps that they look like men, but that's just a theory.
I bet they would have thanked the president regardless of who was our commander and chief, specially if they just met him/her recently.
And if they are truly republicans, they have their reasons, and I don't let such a benign/boring characteristic define whether I would like them or not.
My opinions about athletes are always based on their politics, or whatever Bob Costas tells me to think.
Two Blonds?
Not by my count.
Well you're obviously not drinking enough.
I finished just as they were winning gold!
Are you kidding me? Of course they're Republicans. They're White, and they make their money by getting commercial endorsements from mega-corporations. Jeez, I'm as polly-anna as any gay man but these bitches are corporate whores!
Misty May is a butterface. Sad but true.
