SF Police Shoot, Wound Old Lady

A 60-year-old woman was sent to the hospital after SFPD officers shot her. Going down over at 15th and Dolores streets, officers were called to an apartment a little after 11 a.m. this morning after a woman was allegedly "making violent threats." According to CBS 5, "there was an altercation and four or five shots were fired." (Why wasn't a taser used instead?) No word yet as to the woman's condition.

What, they only shot her but they forgot to shoot her dogs? http://www.boingboing.net/2008/08/07/swat-team-raids-mayo.html

Well that's one less crotchety old bag taking forever to buy lottery tickets in line in front of me.

And I just saw a picture of her building. There could be a sweet apartment coming on the market soon. Dibs!

Finally. Arrests were made.

60 is not an OLD lady anymore kids. Mature is the word infants.

I love it when they call my neighborhood 'Mission Dolores'.

I love that it took four or five shots to control her-- and she still didn't die

I love that people who live there think that violence happens 'somewhere else'.

Great story. Too bad there's no byline.

Lt. Brock: Why you always want to escalate to the taser...why can't the SFPD learn to just walk away and let Chris Daly lead an intervention for poor folks.

In struggle...

SFPD, still fucking up!
Nice one guys.

If they tasered her, she probably would've died. And you know how much the City is already paying tourists injured on the cable cars and such other suits.........
