BART Twitter Feed Now WIth .PDF!

We have to admit we're not totally displeased with the Bart website redesign. (Yes, we visit www.bart.gov on a fairly regular basis, and what?) It features more "real-time info and interactive features," so it's not complete vomit. But their new Twitter feed had us pulling our hair out after we clicked on a link for the August edition of BARTtimes, the official passenger newsletter, which opened up a vortex of doom via a dreaded .pdf file. (It's 2008, do we still need to remind you all about .pdf files? Looks that way.) Even a mildly-retarded PR person knows better than to use/attach .pdf files. Please stop. Otherwise, we hope Bart's Twitter feed gets loaded with fun pics of Bart commutes and last-train action.

huh?

It's 2008, shouldn't you have a computer that doesn't barf on PDF files by now? What exactly DO you use instead? I think if you're having issues, you're probably doing it wrong. PDF'S are pretty much a universal standard these days...

Yeah, uh, what?

Adobe's PDF reader sucks. FoxIt, Preview.app, xpdf, etc are just fine.

It's 2008, I have an iPhone, and it barfs on PDF files because it's too much information for the edge connection to load up quickly...

I don't know what's worse: not knowing how to open a PDF or making fun of retarded people.

pdiddy2 sounds like a really nice guy. my guess is he's about 19, full of pimples and hasn't had a date in years. no big surprise. people who think it's funny to make fun of people with special needs probably have no life and it makes them feel empowered to pick on others less fortunate. LOSER.

murphstahoe: It's 2008, shouldn't your Jesus Phone work with PDFs by now?
