Mission Crime Wave Continues

scofflaw.jpgThe whopping $20 fine for talking on a cell while driving just isn't enough of a deterrent for some folks, such as this guy at 22nd and Shotwell.

Fortunately, the law does not prohibit operating a camera while driving, so we were able to catch this scofflaw in the act.

Getting caught with your parking meter expired will cost you at least $50 (that's right, it just went up) -- and, not owning a car, we self-righteously agree with high parking costs. Why should the city subsidize private vehicle storage? But we must admit that parking in a loading zone isn't exactly a danger to others.
