At around 6:30 p.m last night, an unidentified man was shot at 813 Chenery Street in Glen Park. He was later pronounced dead at SF General. Anyone know anything further about last night's murder? We can't seem to find too much on it yet. (SFGate)

A couple of Glen Park resident commenters on SFGate described the shooting as a result of a lovers' triangle - one guy capped another over a woman. Oh how I long for the days where the only crimes happening in GP were imaginary (cf. the "serial rapist" from a few months back).
i was walking (with my 11-year-old) down diamond to la corneta when it happened. a neighbor told us there were two shooters involved and they ran off on foot. gotta love living in the city, even in "quiet" glen park.
Tragic of course, but some folks posting on the SFGate story make it sound like Glen Park is going to hell. They need some perspective. I moved to Glen Park 6 years ago after living a year at 18th and Capp - there were 6 homicides with a half-block of my house in that year. Glen Park is "Pleasant Valley" compared to that.
According to comments on the SFGate article from Glen Park residents, the shooting was a crime of passion, related to a love triangle of some sort. Not any less tragic, but definitely less alarming for neighborhood residents.
Well it wasnt a love triangle. He just wanted to get back what was his (not girl). The man that killed my daughters father was only 20 years of age, how sad. Good news is that he is behind bars now, and she is next. He was a geat guy he didnt have to go like that, but who does. Just say a prayer for my poor daughter, who had to go idetify her fathers body
Lou was a great friend of mine for many years. I cant believe that someone would do this to such a gentle man. I remember how proud he was when his daughter was born. The pictures he would draw were nothing less than great talent. He was a warm harted man who could always find a way to make you smile when things were bad. Things are getting so bad when common street trash can take the life of a good man like LOU. We all have our bumps in the road, even Lou. He was a kind soul with a good hart. You will be missed. A part of me went with you. God bless old friend.
