Early this morning a teenage boy was stabbed to death in San Francisco's Excelsior district. The murder victim was strolling with a girl at around 1:30 a.m. "when they were confronted by four teenage boys at Lisbon Street and Persia Avenue," according to the Gate. The assailants demanded money from the girl, pushed her away, and stabbed the unidentified male. He later died at San Francisco General Hospital. No descriptions of the hooligans are available. And, of course, no arrests have been made.

Note to self: do not walk around outside after midnight.
Nothing good ever happens after midnight...
Another story to print out and slam down on the table when I get the "but why can't I stay out past midnight" whine.
the excelsior is the most terrifying neighborhood in the city, at least in the tenderloin the crazies are all sleeping after dark and just want your change for crack.
Nothing exciting ever happens before midnight though, which is a different kind of problem.
Horrible.
What was the last murder that the SFPD was able to solve?
The Excelsior is scary as hell.
Also, what the fuck? Two people were shot at the taco truck on Harrison between 19th and 20th? at 9:30pm? Fuck.

Re: withak, didn't they solve the Bologna killings? That was recent.
excelsior is mostly residental and not that scary at all
Vis Valley and part of Bay View are scary for SF I'd say
I would even be more sketched out in Oceanview
