Bomb on 16th Street?

Here we go again. We just received word that "[t]he cops closed down 16th Street between Folsom and South Van Ness." And our favorite piece of SFPD technology, the adorable SFPD bomb robot, is currently over there sniffing out a "suspicious package." According to our tipster, "[a] cop told us to stay away from the windows. They think everything is okay, but they are being cautious." So...there you go. Update: 16th Street has reopened. No bomb was detected.

"suspicious package" I don't know whether to be comopletely terrified or kinda turned on.

The SFPD bomb robot has all the charm of WALL-E, and it has a delightful orange tail as well.

sadly, no Indiana Jones hat involved this time.

word on the street is that the police just blew up the "bomb" - a camouflaged item in a hobo push cart.

apparently this is your standard issue hobo and his push cart, and if the police thought to ask anyone on the block if they recognized the cart, this all would have been avoided.

the hobo is now being questioned. because anything that's camouflage=bomb.

awesome.

I thought camouflage = hipster?

Fuck. I'm confused.

So all the camo cargo shorts I see the gays wearing in the Castro are bomb-laden?
