Jameth found this over at 7th and Howard this morning, and we're going to copy him. Yeah, and what? Anyway, you can email the address scratched in chalk -- we have no idea where it goes, and we don't care if it is or isn't viral, so HA! -- or let us know in the comments what albums/cds make you happy. Television is our din of choice, but SFist (and its readers) would certainly like a few suggestions. But nothing intentionally obscure, counter culture warriors and/or music editors. Whatever sounds most entertaining will do. We know this a personal question, but...it's just fucking music, an overrated art form.
Anyway, let us know.

My favorite band is Mindyour and the Ownfuckingbusinesses.
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
100 Days, 100 Nights
Great album!
xanadu.
This is obviously market research for the next U2 album.
1. Any A Tribe Called Quest album
2. Any De La Soul album
3. 93 Til Infinity by Souls Of Mischief
4. Blackstar, self-titled
5. Food And Liquor by Lupe Fiasco
Those are hip-hop album, kids. In SF, that pretty much makes me more indie than you. Yow!
Though I don't listen to them very much, the Good Ole' Grateful Dead always puts a smile on my face.
Actually it makes you a former college student.
1. puff the magic dragon
2. havanah gilah
3. here comes the bride [until 11-4-08]
4. do the hokey pookey
5. "valley of the dolls" theme song
Anything by The Smiths.
currently listening to a little bit of burt bacharach. ("mmm, delicious.") but like what i'm seeing.
I never got much into classical music, but right now I'm digging some Ludwig Van. In particular, Beethoven: Symphonies Nos. 1-9, conducted by Nikolaus Harnoncourt. It seems like an easy gateway album. It's a fun listen.
I have to be honest, today I downloaded Bananaphone by Raffi and it made me pretty fucking happy.
Martha Wainwright's "I Know You're Married, But I Got Feelings Too" is currently making me really, really happy.
whoa whoa, overrated art form? Sounds like someone's trying to start some controversy!
New Islands album "Arm's Way" (with the most awesome song about the Yeti ever!)
Oh and that Sesame Street song "I Don't Want To Live On The Moon" sung by Ernie. I get choked up every time!
I suppose it's worth pointing out that kids these days don't buy albums/CDs. They buy individual tracks from the iTunes Store.
The concept of the album (for pop music) is nearly dead.
No, we don't buy individual tracks from the Itunes store. We torrent!
1) any WHY? album ever. (Indie alternative hip hop from Berkeley. SO GOOD.)
2) any Wolf Parade album.
Buy?
Is that ancient word still in the dictionary?
torrents suck, soulseek rawks
oh, and a happy albums?
1) Steel Pulse, True Democracy
2) Stevie Wonder, Definitive Collection
3) Thelonius Monk, Thelonius Monk with John Coltrane
Single Songs:
1) Little Wing, Stevie Ray Vaughn
2) My Cheri Amore, Stevie Wonder
3) Mahna Mahna
4) Trinkle Tinkle, Thelonius Monk

My name is Jeff Jones.I would like to speak to you about the possibility of working together to market your products, and collaborate on ways to get more exposure of indie artists who are at various stages of development in their careers in entertainment.
In order to maximize creativity and offer the best service,it is our goal to develop a talent bank,or a corterie of individuals with unique and diverse talents who desire to find a way to showcase their talent. I have created a web store, and I am in the process of lauching an internet radio station to promote these artists.
I would like to offer your product on a page of my store.
I have recorded my tenor sax over a sample to demonstrate how this process could provide training,as well as demo material to enable artists to hear and learn by doing in studio projects that would not be possible otherwise.

I just *love* the music of Jeff Jones. It's so collaborational! And not at all a big spammy pile of promocrap.
P.s. you know my real favorite band is and will always be the Burning Glaciers.
Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins
Blue album by Weezer
IV by Led Zeppelin
II by Led Zeppelin
Picaresque by The Decemberists
Melody AM by Royksopp
Comfort Eagle by Cake
the list goes on... as a musician, I also like anything I'm playing at the time, whether it's my own stuff or someone else's. That's all over the place. Damn, hard question.
Also, Jeff Jones is my favorite musicians.
Some albums I play to bring me up when I'm feeling down:
Wasp Star by XTC
The Point! by Nilsson
Flood by TMBG
The Schoolhouse Rock box set - Bob Dorough and others
As I walked alone beside the waters edge it crossed my mind that if I had some one to share this with, my life would be so much better than it is now.
I would like to talk about my dreams and hopes with someone who would care, and share what has always remained unspoken.
After a while, when our fears have been put to rest, and we feel that the trust so important to sharing real feelings has been realized, then will I speak of love.
After a while when your eyes have gazed into my soul so deeply that you can tell me what my heart has to give, but will not until all the fear is gone. Then will I speak of love.
To walk,to talk,to share feelings about life's ups and downs,is what we all want and need, but somehow seems very hard to find.
The things we bring from our past may hold the key to lasting happiness in the future, once we feel that we can be open, real, and giving.
After a while when our hearts speak one to another, without the need for words, then will our lives begin the journey toward complete bliss.
As I walk beside the water longing, feeling, praying that this time we will get it right. This time love will make us whole. As I contemplate these things and more,I hope that someone will be you.
After a while.
Jeff
