Reputed Heterosexual to Occupy Old Queer Cabaret Joint

Those sweet sounds of Patti LuPone, Connie Champagne, and Bambi Lake are a thing of the past over at the Plush Room/York Hotel. Bay Area native and Food Network star Tyler Florence (who's managed to snag three shows on the foodie network -- i.e., Tyler's Ultimate, Food 911, and How to Boil Water -- while our favorite local gastronomic celeb, Joanne Weir, has inexplicably landed zero) will take over the former cabaret lounge. While we loved the old-gay-man sounds of aging divas crooning a song or two at this venue's former incarnation, we also find Florence kinda hot. And hear he cooks a mean dish. But we have to wait to see if Florence's food surpasses his baby bib lettuce boasting on those Chilli's Applebee's commercials, Eater reports that the place will open sometime in the distance future.

Applebees, not Chili's. Though Chili's, Flingers or Tchotchkes would be lucky to have TyFlo. Hopefully, Bar Florence staff with have great pieces of flair.

as do most. but she's wildly talented.

The lush room going away?

I need a drink and a diva immediately.

You can see those divas at the Rrazz Room at the Nikko Hotel.

Rrazz room has definitely picked up the slack. But women beware their kiddie-sized toilets, especially after too many cocktails.
