Get ready for your close-up. This Google 'Street View' cam Prius was found near Van Ness Avenue. Fun, right?! But let's revisit an ancient argument: Do you, dear readers, think like Lulu Vision that Google's joyous Street View collage is really all that "socially unacceptable" or Big Brother-y?

I get that people might think it's weird or intrusive to have a picture of your house or apartment building or whatever online, but c'mon. If someone's going to stalk you, they're going to do it with or without Google street view.

What makes you so stalkable, anyway? What an ego.

Angrybat, exactly! If we all had cameras on us, then, you know, who cares? It takes quite a large and annoying an ego to assume anyone important is out to watch you in your panties, use your ATM card, or know you bought your fifth copy of Guns, Germs, and Steel for a friend.

I saw the prius at Green and Battery as well. Hopefully got in a shot!

Well I saw that solar car buzzing around this morning. But I didn't take a picture because I was right down to the end of my ciggy and didn't want to get smoke in my eyes as I fumbled for my camera.

I'm more interested in the areas that aren't mapped. Oddities like Sunnyvale in the south bay. All surrounding areas are mapped, but why not Sunnyvale? Now if you'll excuse me, I need to don my tin-foil hat and go count contrails.

Guns, Germs, and Steel? Really?

Google Street View has been an invaluable tool to me, especially whilst craigslisting and trying to find people's houses. I don't think anyone is using it to stalk anybody. It's not like it updates all the time. The best you could get is a picture of somebody's house, which is easily accomplished by going there and shooting it yourself.

I've seen in on market and around the civic center areas the past couple of days.

why not Sunnyvale?

Speaking for the Street View Prius driver:

If it's important to you, go for it! Let us know how it turns out!

With that thing sticking up, it's called a Priapus.

Sunnyvale = Yahoo! headquarters, maybe?

They aren't going to Sunnydale on account of the vampire problem. Maybe you've heard about it?

Not an invasion of privacy. You're on the street you're fair game. It has to be one of the best new tools to come from the internet.
