SFist Tonight
CLUB: What with only six more Trannyshack's left, tonight's theme, Bjork Tribue Night (gipsters looooooove themselves some Bjork; she's like their Bette Midler), is the night to attend if you've never been. Superstars Heklina, Glamamore, Putanesca, Fauxnique, Precious Moments, Peggy L'eggs, Syphilis Diller, Ambrosia Salad, Jupiter, and Turleen perform. (Sure, the show starts at midnight, but be sure to stay for Fauxnique's performance. Her shit will blow you to the back wall of the Stud. You've been warned.)
10 p.m (music), midnight (show) // The Stud (399 - 9th Street)
MUSIC: Tilly and the Wall, Loquat, LoveLikeFire perform at the GAMH tonight. Oh, and funny you should ask that, but we do have an interview with Nick White of Tilly and the Wall.
9 p.m. // Great American Music Hall (859 O'Farrell) // $17
READING: Get drunk at this McSweeney's taste-tested and approved event, "Poets Picking Poets." Tonight's excuse to get smashed features award-winning poet Jane Hirshfield, Pulitzer Prize-finalist Dean Young, and Jack Brandon.
7 p.m. // Rock-It Room (406 Clement) // free

...gipsters?
Plus, SFist has an interview with Anthony Gordon of Loquat from last summer! Represent.
please tell me gipster isn't a cutesy way of saying gay hipster so i don't have to jump off the golden gate bridge.
sayonara.
Brock! Think of the emotionally traumatized who read this blog!! They are likely rolling around laughing! STOP THE MADNESS!
in other exciting news: the latest photo "is currently unavailable" per flickr. methinks it was crack smoking.

I prefer 'gapster' because it's grosser.
be sure to get to trannyshack early if you want to see the drag show. on nights like bjork night it fills up pretty fast.
