i don't understand why people have to walk around with that thing on. it's smaller than a cell phone and easier to put in your ear and take right out when you're done with your call. what call is so important that you have to have that thing in your ear 24/7? it's not like you can listen to music with it on.

Have to admit a couple times I reached for the phone and then remembered. oops. MY BAD. I think it's going to be a good feeling knowing we can actually have "quiet time" in the car. Lives may be saved, and nerves will be too. Think back to the days when there were no cell phones and life was simple and good.

In Illinois it is illegal to do anything on a bike that keeps you from being able to put both hands on the handlebars (i.e. talk on the phone or carry groceries). Does CA have a law like that?

Do bikers need to go hands free too? I hope not...it'd be a funny in-your-face to drivers. Strange but true - the law applies specifically to "motor vehicles"

It's only using your cellphone to talk, placed at your ear, that's illegal. Dialing, however, on your cell phone, is still deemed legal. That makes so much sense .... ?

I was thinking that they implemented this law because lobbyists of the cell phone and bluetooth industries wanted an easy way to get more money.
