FILM: Please. Go see Encounters at the End of the World. Now. Werner Herzog directs and narrates this Antarctic documentary, and his commentary is hysterical. Just... go see for yourself. German nuttiness at its most brilliant, people.

I just watched "Burden of Dreams" the DVD of which also includes the "Werner Herzog Eats His Shoe" (filmed on location in Berkeley!)

Werner implores us all to perform Fitzcarraldo-istical feats of Gonzoness, otherwise "we are just cows in ze field."
