Grace Cathedral/Burning Man Arsonist Paul Addis Sentenced

200px-Firestarter.jpg

Mentally-estranged dreamboat Paul Addis -- you know, the guy who performed last year's premature ignition at Burning Man and most recently tried to burn down Courteney Cox-Arquette and David Arquette's chapel of love? -- pleaded guilty to (presumably) arson, winning himself a cool 12-48 month in federal prison. According to Curbed (via Twitter):

Burning Man successful arsonist and Grace Cathedral would-be arsonist Paul Addis plead guilty in Federal court (to which counts, exactly, we haven't yet heard— we're thinking, um, arson). He was reportedly unapologetic in the courtroom, and has been sentenced to 12-24 months in Federal prison. Wondering if they'll be some sort of Addis-centric Voodoo doll stabbing ceremony on the Playa this year?

Stabbing doll or, um, some other kind of doll will do nicely.

he's hot!

he's dead

"Unapologetic in the courtroom" -- can we please get our hands on that transcript? PLEASE?

Paul Addis is a self righteous dick. He's also completely off his nut. Usually, being insane excuses one's dickness. Not his though. I do, however, hope he's heavily medicated while in prison. Everyone deserves a helping hand now and again.

In prison, the only thing worse than being a Performance Artist, is being a snitch, a child molester, or a mime.

Love the picture!!

Several years ago I went on a date with Paul, as we had mutual friends. His idea of a "date" was to drop acid and show me his firearms. I have not seen him since.

Glad to hear he's doing well, though!

sounds like my kind of man. hey now!

He endangered the lives of others when he set the Man on fire. It was part of a structure which only an hour earlier when I was in it had had in the realm of 100 people inside.

Paul may be mentally ill. But he didn't plead insanity. He is showing no remorse. He has given the legal system little reason not to hand down a stiff punishment.
