So what you're saying is instead of fruit stands there'll be standing (or walking) fruits? Ha.Ha. This is not really news is it? The Farmer's Market, the Library, and the Asian usually close during gay pride Sunday. BTW, I'm a proud homo too.

the egg guy said that even tho the city isn't taking it over, the city now wants to charge 8,000 bucks a year instead of the 1 dollar the charge now

Direr? I know it's a word, but not one used by people with an interest in appearing intelligent. Illiterate soccer moms and local radio news personalities would use direr, but they also call their children names like Tyler, wear green jackets and vacation in Mexico, so they don't know any better. And to borrow from Ian Dury, they leave food particles in their teeth and hide in your laundry basket. So it's a big no on "direr" from this corner of the vegetable patch. But who cares? It's only our language.
