It has 3 times since I moved here in 2000, that I know of, and I usually wouldn't know. I've just been driving 101 and seen it. I have to agree with MalcoveMagnesia, though--South City and Daly City have been overdeveloping San Bruno Mountain for about ten years now. Most of the California fires happening this week were supposedly started by lightning, but since lightning isn't very common in this region (even during rainy season), I wonder how long it'll take investigators to figure out it was somebody's discarded cigarette that sparked the blaze? </p>
