Seriously, are people here just so beaten down and used to the cold that everyone has developed some sort of Stockholm syndrome about it? Because as far as I was aware eighty degree weather in the Summer is considered "nice", "normal", and "desirable". So why all the "Oh noes! It's too hot! Make it a foggy, miserable sixty degrees again!"?

If dry thunderstorms here are anything like "heat lightning" back where I'm from, that's where it's so hot you get lightning and thunder, but it's just teasing you and produces zero rain. I'm not a meteorologist, so I'm not sure why this phenomenon occurs, I just know i've seen it, it sucks, and it means mother nature is taunting and laughing at you.

SFGate weather report: Rest of Today: Mostly sunny early in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Slight chance of dry thunderstorms... Is that like dry humping ?
