Provided Muni drivers decide to show up and drive cautiously -- fingers crossed! -- here's how Muni will try to move you seamlessly throughout the city this blazing hot weekend. Ahem:

The Juneteenth Celebration and Parade will take place this weekend in the Civic Center from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22.

The following street closures will be required from 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 20 to midnight, Sunday, June 22 for the Juneteenth Celebration.

* Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place from McAllister Street to Grove Street
* Grove Street from Goodlett Place to Larkin Street
* Larkin Street (southbound only) from Grove Street to McAllister Street

The Juneteenth Parade will be held on Saturday, June 21 and begin at 11:00 a.m. The route will be as follows: east on Post Street, south on Fillmore Street, east on McAllister, and into the Civic Center.

This celebration will also affect the 5 Fulton, 22 Fillmore, 31 Balboa, 38 Geary, 47 Van Ness, and 49 Mission/Van Ness lines. Check NextMuni before you head out.

But wait, there's more! The top easterly northbound lane of Third Street from Mission Rock Street to Carroll Avenue will shutdown for the Stadium to Stadium Run, when cardio freaks run from Candlestick Park (eeps!) to AT&T Park (mmm, garlic fries).

Finally, two street fairs will close down some streets. On Saturday, June 21, some sort of Art Festival will shut down Fairfax Avenue (from Phelps Street to Third Street) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Also, some sort of fashion show will close Lexington Street (from 18th Street to Sycamore Street) from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. That is one long runway, eh? Eh? Heh.
