Just in time for the legalization of homosexual marriage, and for those of you who don't feel like getting married anywhere near the grimy Civic Center, Heart of the Castro Wedding Chapel opened its door yesterday. Located in, well, the heart of the Castro at 18th Street and Hartford, they promise to get Party A and Party B hitched while celebrating you "as human beings, without judgment, without discrimination, and without shame."

Aw.

Also, how does one decide who gets to be Party A and who gets to be Party B?

Anyway, while we're not sure how late the chapel stay open -- they must be very busy since we have been unable to reach anyone at the chapel on the phone -- we hope its late; in fact, it should be available 24-hours a day. They're sure to make a killing off of the bridge and tunnel gays hammered on appletinis keybumps.

It's Akbar and Jeff's Wedding Hut! Yow!

while celebrating you "as human beings, without judgment, without discrimination, and without shame."

Wait til Gay Shame gets their hands on that sign!

"Also, how does one decide who gets to be Party A and who gets to be Party B?"

I guess it comes down to who's the top and who's the bottom.

Do you have to provide your own Elvis impersonators?

Has anybody else heard that gay-friendly diamond commercial that's playing on AM radio these days? Diamond Center or Shane or whatever, it's hilarious!

Do you have to provide your own Elvis impersonators?

No, we do all the work for you. We have three Elvis impersonators available in the bay area starting at an additional $200 on top of your wedding, should you feel Elvisly inclined.

We also have a working relationship with Costumes on Haight if you want to be your own Elvis.
